I’m Bonnie-Marie and I am a London based, self-taught, freelance illustrator. A large portion of my creativity and inspiration comes from my enthusiasm for animated movies and TV shows (mainly Disney and Dreamworks). I have been honing my skills in illustrating and designing characters for the past few years, with help from tutorials by one of my favourite Disney artists, Aaron Blaise. Fusing my passion for wildlife and drawing allows me to create captivating characters and bizarre creatures, some that only exist in my imagination until I draw it! I have been fortunate enough to be part of a collaborative project that does just that; a fun educative card game called ANiMOZ, which aims to teach kids about the importance of protecting Australian wildlife. In addition to this project, I’ve also worked on music videos, whiteboard animations and a book cover. Primarily, I do digital art using Adobe Photoshop, and I am working towards getting comfortable with using Adobe Illustrator too. Now and then, I go back to doing some traditional art and experiment with different styles, mediums and techniques (e.g. using coffee as paint which is one of my favourites).
