Ludo Harrison is an aspiring pioneer to innovate hip hop and music to the next level. His family who used to live in California moved back to England when he was born, engrained a heavy influence of the west coast flavour to his lifestyle and music. From an early age he has been influenced by classic rock, punk such as Iggy Pop, bands such as red hot chilli peppers, psychedelic rock such as Jimi Hendrix and hip hop. His hip hop influences are Tupac, Biggie, 50 cent, Dr Dre, Eminem, Logic and Asap rocky. The list goes on. Though his genre is mainly hip hop. It is a blend of all the elements he is influenced by. The main subject matter Ludo likes to discuss is either mental health or following dreams and passions. Growing up Ludo had severe undiagnosed mental health problems. Such as anxiety, depression and being bipolar manic depressive. When he left school he didn't think he could survive in the real world making money through music so he became a carpenter to work when he wanted, get paid and then travel for music. At 18 he travelled to California and was playing down San Francisco's famous Haight street every Friday night and was starting to make some noise. After things went sour from a potential record deal he moved back to England to form a band with his old school friends called southside bay. A reggae delic funk band. Southside bay played many hotspots in London such as Camden, Shoreditch, kings cross.as well as setting up their own private events. Again the band started to build a reputation but shortly departed for personal reasons. Afterwards Ludo went solo and travelled to Australia to attempt to break into the hip hop psychedelic reggae scene that was trending over there. However, he kept running into more problems with mental health. After being hospitalised. He realised he was working too hard down the wrong path and decided to focus less on carpentry and more on his passion for music. Now he is currently studying a music degree in england and plans to set up his own label and studio, self promoting and becoming self established within the music industry without relying on the big break. Helping others to do the same on his journey.
