I am an imaginative, exploratory sound designer, composer, and writer from the Lake District but now based in Manchester. I have a proficiency in multiple instruments and genres, and in my creative work I am fascinated by two particular relationships: one between music and noise, and what constitutes each; the other between sound and space, and how both can be utilised to conjure captivating, intimate moments of storytelling for audiences.
In 2017, I won the MIFTA Award for Best Sound Design for my work on the production ‘No God Down Here.
Since then I have scored further theatre pieces, short films, podcasts, and audio projects, taking on any work in any medium that intrigues me and that I believe to which I can bring something special. I work best when in direct collaboration with other creatives, striving to create work that is greater than the sum of its parts.
