Twisted Roots Distillery promotional content.
PauseRecord Films were tasked to create an advert and accompanying social content to advertise Twisted Roots Distillery which is based in East Yorkshire.
The small batch distillery was founded by Peirs, a former blacksmith and carpenter, who drives a big old American truck and who hand built the copper still used to produce the rum. The company have a strong visual identity based on a romanticised idea of the American prohibition era illegal alcohol trade. Working closely with Piers, Jonty and Paul set about capturing the authenticity of everything that goes into the production of their small batch rum.

Akai MPC Live III commercial
Paul worked as the DOP and camera operator to shoot this commercial for the latest Akai MPC unit. The aim was to show a broad range of music styles and influences, as well as the variety of technical inputs available to the user. ‘Four times the power’ presented by four characters in four different settings. Each environment was lit and shot to have its own visual identity and style.

Paul worked with co-director Jonty Dawson to produce, shoot and edit this short documentary film about Box Up Crime, a gym in east London dedicated to helping young people stay off the streets and out of gangs.
Shot over two and a half days in the summer of 2023, we had the edit ready to be shown on a full sized cinema screen at their 10th anniversary event, hosted at the Arsenal Emirates Stadium.
Both Paul and Jonty are very proud to be able to highlight the amazing work being carried out through Box Up Crime, as well as with how the film has been received.
