How does Payoneer work?
Payoneer acts as a virtual bank between the client and you, the freelancer. The client sends funds to your Payoneer account for the services provided, then Payoneer transfers the amount to your bank account and charges a conversion/processing charge.
How do you withdraw funds from Payoneer?
When you want to access your Payoneer funds, you can transfer them to your local bank account in over 150 countries and currencies. You can also withdraw your funds to a prepaid card or via an ATM.
Your Payoneer account holds balances in all the currencies that you’ve received. You can easily convert from one currency to another, for example: if you want to withdraw funds in your local currency. Payoneer exchanges currency at the interbank rate and charges an additional commission fee of the converted amount.
Please note that Payoneer only provide currency conversions for money already inside a Payoneer receiving account. Therefore, you cannot fund a Payoneer account with your own card or regular bank account. In this situation, the recipient would need to create a Payoneer account and request funds from you.
