Well executed scores and soundtracks are what I live for. When a story is at its strongest, all the elements in-play are harmonizing together. Music plays a big role in many cases, but it also can sometimes serve as merely a function. It all depends on the context. Should it be more relaxed, or should it be more up front and defining? The nuance of music’s role comes from the needs of the medium, the story and the function. That’s what I want to deliver. My experience comes from two sources. I wrote and produced 2 tracks for a game while working for the company Looty Games. During that time I also was in charge of sound design and tone. The rest of my experience comes from writing for tabletop games. Whether I am a player in someone else’s campaign or I am running the campaign myself, immersion is very important to me and the music I write is intended to enhance that feeling.
