Achraf Maadadi's journey from passionate enthusiast to accomplished filmmaker and photographer is a captivating tale of dedication, creativity, and the power of unwavering commitment. His story serves as an inspiring example for those who aspire to turn their passion into a fulfilling career. Achraf's fascination with the art of capturing moments through photography and cinema began with innate curiosity. The enchanting allure of cinema beckoned to him, igniting a fire that would guide his path for years to come. Determined to learn and create, he embarked on a two-year educational journey at the Journalism Institute and Media. During this time, he delved deep into the technical intricacies of his chosen craft, laying the groundwork for his future success. The years between 2011 and 2013 marked a transformative period in Achraf's life—a transition from a curious student to a versatile freelance filmmaker and photographer. Driven by an insatiable passion, he embraced every aspect of his journey, immersing himself fully in the art of visual storytelling. Armed with a camera and a keen eye for detail, Achraf's lens became more than just a tool for capturing images; it became a medium to convey emotions, narratives, and the very essence of his subjects. As a filmmaker, Achraf's canvas extended far beyond the confines of static frames. Throughout his career, he conceptualized and directed over 25 mesmerizing music videos, each a harmonious fusion of visuals and sound that transported audiences into immersive worlds. His portfolio also boasted four poignant short films, showcasing his remarkable ability to distill complex narratives into concise yet impactful cinematic experiences. Achraf's journey as a photographer was equally diverse and vibrant. His lens provided a window into the dynamic worlds of live concerts, music shows, sports events, and fashion. With each click, he masterfully captured the energy, passion, and raw emotion of his subjects, preserving moments in time that continue to resonate long after they have passed. Achraf's dedication and creative excellence did not go unnoticed. His work graced renowned stages and festivals across the globe, earning him well-deserved recognition and acclaim. I have been working in the media since the age of 4 acting in theatre. I have also been in a few short films and an extra in some TV episodes such as Casualty and Dr Who. Then 5 years ago I branched off into radio and have had a variety of shows on Radio 19 and then Bristol's BCFM 93.2FM. Ranging from children's shows, topic shows such as gun crime and music shows. I play a range of tunes from drum and bass, bass line, jungle, old school etc. I have interviewed many people including Rusko, General Levy, Daddy Freddy, DJ Dereck and Neneh cherry to name but a few. Every friday at midnight myself and the rest of "The Baby Boomtown" team bring you an hour of having it tunez, interviews and occasional guest mixes and live performances. I have also had guest DJ's on my show and Bristol promoters Run Tingz presented a series of shows with me too.I also work at the festivals gathering interviews for the show and for Glastonbury, I work not just for the show, but also for the festivals station Worthy FM.
