As a child, I always had a deep appreciation for art. Whether it was drawing, painting, or crafting, I would spend hours lost in the creative process. It was a way for me to express myself and let my imagination run wild. Growing up, I continued to immerse myself in art, taking classes and attending workshops. In high school, I discovered graphic design and fell in love with the idea of creating designs that communicated a message. I was fascinated by how design could influence people's thoughts and feelings, and I knew that this was something I wanted to pursue as a career. After graduating from high school, I enrolled in Kutztown University of Pennsylvania's Communication Design program. During my time at Kutztown, I gained a deep understanding of design principles and honed my skills in painting, drawing, typography, and brand design. I also learned how to use software in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and AfterEffects to bring my designs to life. Upon completing my degree, I my brand designer position at Lantern Press where I was able to showcase my talents in typography and layout, creating graphics for wall signs, catalogs, and wholesale product packaging. I also had the opportunity to travel to Atlanta and set up a showroom for the company, which led to more sales at a single trade show than ever before. At my current position at FranklinCovey, I was given the exciting task of illustrating a series of booklets for children from ages K–8 that teach the principles of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People while fostering creativity. It is inspiring to know that my work will be used to empower the next generation. After a few years in the design industry, I realized that I missed creating art and working with my hands and wanted to use my new-found design skills to make a difference in my community. I started exploring mural painting and was blown away by how murals could transform a space and bring people together. My first commissioned painting was a collaboration with a local Distillery in Salt Lake City, and the experience was exhilarating. From then on, I knew that mural painting was something I wanted to do more of. Today, I am a professional graphic designer and mural painter, with a passion for creating designs that inspire and bring joy to people's lives. Whether I am designing booklets for children or collaborating on large-scale murals, I am constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible with art and design.

Having an attentive nature yet remaining intuitive in thought allows me to be experimental, mix funk with structure, and be concisely exuberant as a designer. I define my style as eclectic and keep in mind that, “Design is the search for a magical balance between business and art; art and craft; intuition and reason; concept and detail; playfulness and formality; client and designer; designer and printer; and printer and public.” (Valerie Pettis). I like to merge design components, mediums, styles, approaches, applications, and software's, while incorporating influences from historical periods and human/environmental conditions. I tend to be an additive designer who plays with process and concept according to specific project scopes and requirements. --- **Employment and project experience** **Artist & Director of Logistics** @ Suzanne Allen Studio _Summer 2018 - Current_ > Responsible for overseeing and planning logistics for a creative decorative painting studio focused on being environmentally conscious. > Manage website and act as in-house graphic designer for print materials, pattern creation, project layouts & specifications and social media materials. **Photo Editor** @ Debose Photography Studio _Summer 2017 - Current_ > Process and produce a high volume of orders by batching, editing, templeting, printing, and shipping. > Created and manage workflow system for multiple remote editors used when order volume increases. > Train new employees on workflow management, editing procedures and maintaining equipment. **Graphics & Pre-press Specialist** @ Miller Imaging & Digital Solutions _Summer 2016 - Spring 2017_ > Produced and prepared files for high quality printed and scanned graphic images in fine art, large format and small press. > Manage production supplies, equipment, and software needed for high volume downtown print shop. **Graphic Designer I** @ BOXX Technologies _Fall 2014 - Winter 2016_ > Responsible for creating print and web graphics for the marketing department including t-shirts, icons, banners, web ads, trade show materials (stand-up banners, flyers, promotional assets), product manuals, spec sheets, informational flyers/whitepapers, corporate brochures and magazines. > Managed weekly e-blasts, monthly print ads in POST, Desktop Engineering, AUGI and other industry specific publications. > During my time as the in-house designer, growth in revenue rose 13% and growth in web orders revenue rose 121%. **Graphics & Web Designer** @ Sherman Associates LLC _Fall 2013 - Spring 2014_ > Creation and development of new logo, website, and advertisement materials for architectural firm. > Initiated and executed an updated and cohesive office system by digitizing and organizing project materials including plans, photography and project details. --- **Education** **BA in Graphic Design Communications** @ Roger Williams University _Minors in Anthropology & Sociology_

My art is my inner look on how I see the world or the problem handed to me. I’m a passionate person so when I do something I put my all into it. I love abstract art, things that make you stop and think about why it was created or what the person was thinking about when they created it. I want people to look at my work in that way. I want to create pieces that connect with the audience in some way. So I bring this outlook to graphic design whenever I can to become the abstract queen of graphic design!
