Recording Studio
Stonetown Studio is a cosy home recording studio based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Despite its homely feel, Stonetown Studio is well equipped for professional recording with an acoustically treated room and an experienced engineer that understands its characteristics.
Running the industry standard Logic Pro X recording software via award winning Focusrite microphone pre amps and Rode NT1a microphone, you can be sure that the only thing separating you and your song from perfection is your performance.
Stonetown Studio takes advantage of the digital recording revolution. Production techniques and high end gear that would have cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to purchase and use are now available at the click of a mouse. Using plug-ins that the likes of Chris Lord-Alge (The Rolling Stones, Muse, Green day, Sum 41 & Bruce Springsteen to name a few!) have helped develop; your song will benefit from the same signature sounds that were used in the top records.
We generally work with artists and bands that want to have a professional sound on a low budget, thriving upon giving you a welcoming and fun recording experience. We hope that one day Stonetown Studio can be the go to recording service in the region, but when those days arrive, we will remain the warm and hospitable recording service we are today.
Engineer/Producer: Luke Stone
In the 6 years I have been recording music, I have developed a passion for taking songs out of people’s heads and making them sound better than how they hear it themselves.
Graduating from Red Tape Studio’s, Sheffield in 2010, I achieved the highest possible grade (Double Distinction) on the BTEC National Certificate in Music Technology. During 2010, I also won Red Tape Studio’s recording of the year for my recording, mixing & mastering work on “Vida – The Stages Are All Empty”. After a short while at Leeds Metropolitan University, I further increased my knowledge and experience of music production and sound engineering, working in truly magnificent high end recording studios.
I feel that I am competent in recording/producing in almost any musical genre, but if I had to state where my main strengths lie, I would say that Pop, Rock, Acoustic, Indie & Country are the styles I am most comfortable with.
My dream has always been to provide a high end recording studio to the people of Chesterfield and beyond. Stonetown Studio is the first step towards achieving this goal.…Stonetown Studio
