Music is my prime passion. I'm a highly creative individual, dedicating most of my time and effort to developing audio projects. I'm a multi-instrumentalist, focusing mainly on drums and percussion, but I also excel as a vocalist, composer, record producer, recording engineer, foley artist, entrepreneur, co-owner of an independent record label, recording artist, songwriter, professional independent broker/trader, as well as providing at times simultaneously.
As an in-house producer for WuLi Records, a label I've co-owned since 2004, I provide comprehensive artist development services to emerging talents. This includes music production, editing, recording, mixing, mastering, touring arrangements, showcasing, graphic design, video production, branding, marketing, audiobook narration, and voiceover work. Over the years, I've nurtured vital connections within both creative and business circles of the music industry.
I graduated from Berklee College of Music and The Recording Workshop Music Production Programs. Throughout my career, I've held roles as Chief Audio Engineer at numerous recording studios and production companies. I'm a member of BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, and a voting member of The Recording Academy.
My portfolio boasts hundreds of projects where I've served as producer and engineer in just about every genre. I've also co-written songs for major networks like ABC/Disney, CBS, and MTV as well as for an American Idol winner. I consider myself an audio purist, dedicated to delivering top-notch final products across all media.
With extensive knowledge of the music industry, recording engineering, and business, I've continually introduced innovative solutions wherever I go. With 13 years of experience, I’m a multi-instrumentalist working for Blue Man Group Chicago and The Chicago Bulls as a performer and teacher. I’ve composed for solo electro-acoustic set ups, percussion ensemble and theater both for live and in the studio. I’m a curator and talent buyer for a bi-monthly music series and I also work with local corporate cover bands. I also currently work as Director of Percussion for Highland Park High School, teaching the school’s private percussion lessons, teaching Jazz Band kit class, and the drumline.
