A highly motivated and dedicated graduate who is accustomed to working under pressure and towards deadlines while being pro-active, assuring the best result is achieved for any given situation. Having completed 3 years of higher education in University, finishing a Bachelors (Hons) Degree course in popular music with flying colours, a strong work ethic and development of personal traits has been achieved. Traits such as becoming an organised, hard working, determined individual who has learnt to become self proficient, while leading projects and working towards a main objective.
Mr and Mrs Thompson gave birth to wonderful Wayne in 1993 in the town of Colchester, England. His musical journey began at the age of 5 when he was given his first drum kit. He started along the path of becoming a drummer by teaching himself, playing the beat from We Will Rock You by Queen. He was always inspired by his family who were all musicians and played in a function band together. He would travel with them and see their performances and was lucky enough to be surrounded by music every day.
He studied Music in school and started to build on talent and technique. After finishing, he then went on to further education and started his studies for a National Diploma in Popular Music and soon afterwards, started more studies towards a BA Hons in Popular Music. During this time he started his first originals band called Newtons Apple, wrote Progresive Metal tracks with an experiential band ACW, became the drummer for medic death metal band Skarthia and ever since then, he has evolved into the drumming machine he is today, getting involved in his family band as the main drummer and session work with bands around the UK as well as writing his own compositions on guitar as well.
These days, Wayne can been seen performing in a large variety of styles of music, from Funk/Rock with Newtons Apple, Melodic Death Metal with Skarthia, music from the 50’s to the present day songs we have now with Tall Order as well as Fusion/Jazz experimental music with Virgin Funk Mothers.
