Dylan MacDowell, a proud Cleveland, Ohio native, graduated from Independence High School before pursuing his Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University. He filled his days involving himself with a range of campus activities, including the Undergraduate Student Government, Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, and welcoming first year students to the university as an Orientation Leader and University Ambassador, as well as ushering graduates back as a representative of the Alumni Association.
Honing his passion for storytelling and the arts, Dylan has dedicated his post-graduate time in New York City, NY, engulfing himself in the theatre community at Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's premiere supper club and cabaret space, as a full-time Marketing Associate, where he specializes in social media management, artist relations, copywriting, and content creation. Like probably 90% of writers, I’m obsessed with how language works. So obsessed that in university I went all the way back to the ancient world to study it from the Proto-Indo-European ground up.
After graduating with a Master’s in 2016, I decided to rejoin the modern world as a freelance writer specializing in creative copy. Today I call my services ‘Chameleon’ because the ability to adapt is, in my view, the essence of creating meaningful, on-brand content.
Over the past three years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with diverse businesses all over the world, each with its own unique story and voice. Sometimes it’s snarky and 20-something for one brand’s booze copy, sometime it’s professional and sleek for a brochure in the education sector. One thing remains constant across all my projects: I never get tired of taking on new voices and telling new stories.
