Caterina Schembri is an Italian-Colombian music composer and orchestrator currently based in Dublin, Ireland.
Caterina has a strong formation as a composer. In 2016 she graduated with a BA Hons in Composition from PUJ and a diploma in Music and Sound for Film from U. Sabana. In November 2018 she graduated with first-class honours from the MA in Scoring for Film & Visual Media (Pulse College/DIT) where she studied with some of the most celebrated professionals in the film scoring industry. Some of her lecturers included Conrad Pope (Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Catch me if you can, Life of Pi...), Dr. Garrett Sholdice, Andy Hill (The Lion King, Beauty and The Beast, Anastasia...), Dr. Linda Buckley, Christopher Young (Spiderman, Drag me to Hell, Pet Sematary...) and Dr. Ciarán Crilly.
Her music has been successful on the screen featuring on a number of films from diverse genres and origins. Caterina has worked with directors from the UK, Spain, Colombia, China, Greece, Ireland and Costa Rica composing music for drama, animation, documentary, period, thriller, romance, and fantasy. In 2017 she composed the music for the feature film "Despertar" directed by Soley Bernal and awarded best film in "Premios Lo Nuestro" (Costa Rica).
Caterina has a strong presence on the stage having her music performed in numerous venues of her native country such as the National Museum of Bogotá. She has a particular talent working with life ensembles, having recorded her music with top-class musicians in state of the art recording studios from different parts of Europe, including the legendary Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin, BNR and Doli Media in Sofia, Bulgaria. Caterina has also worked as Orchestrator and in the score preparation department for TV and Film productions in Malaysia and North Korea.
In December 2018 she became one of the founding members of Sonic Gate Studios, an international collective of sound artists working in music and sound for multimedia. The first release of the collective Aljafería: 6 Miradas" was premiered in the Aljafería Palace (Zaragoza, Spain) featuring Caterina's music for one of the segments. I was a classically trained pianist who achieved a Grade 7 with distinction at age 12. I then went to a different school with a different teacher who was horrible to her students and I left class, giving up all piano until 2 years later. I could barely read sheet music and was so frustrated that I was on the cusp of giving up altogether until something amazing happened. I found my ear for music and this was the starting point for the rest of my musical journey. Everything changed, for the better. Any creative sonical artist will tell you that to be creative in music you must have an ear for it. Most of the time classical training is about the clinically correct precise articulation of a piece that somebody has written. It has very little to do with creativity and expression. I want to create & express.

Hailing from Dublin in Ireland, I had the honour of being raised among the great writers and poets of the world and for the past 20 odd years, had embraced that inspiration.
My Music consists of an array of Acoustic Folk/ Indie Rock and Blues told with a story telling tongue, though I also on occasion, have been known to have electronically written some orchestrated pieces to suite any mood.
As my Artistic life started, at a young age short story writing and poems where a joy.
I soon found my first inspirational tool in the Acoustic guitar, to later learn many other instruments as my words started to dance to the waves of sound.
Through my late teens, 20's and early 30's I had fronted many bands and folk groups, propping up the sweaty stage of many a watering hole in Ireland.
Though most of my tracks on Twine are covers, these days I also write and release my own solo work's as Berthmark, they can be found on my website here www.berthmarkmusic.com
I started heading towards writing music for short indie films.
I also run music workshops in a recording studio setting, for teens aged from 12-18 through a Artist Development and Music Production which can be found here. https://www.facebook.com/MusicProductiondublin15/ that is in association with the youth group Foroige.

Jonathan William Fay [alias dragontone] was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1983.
When he was 13 he attended boarding school in county down, Northern Ireland.
In his late teens, in 2002, he took an apprenticeship in a local pottery studio.
He worked in the Pinewood Pottery, County Down, as a professional thrower and designer of tableware.
Jonathan also played in the Celtic Lyre Orchestra between 2001 and 2006.
In 2009 he came to live in Holywood and work in a local Cafe.
He began learning to play the guitar in 2010, this was the beginning of an artistic passion.
Jonathan has a love of many different musical styles and influences that can be heard in his musical works.
He has no shame in admitting that he is autistic, he feels that a disability is what you make of it.
Jonathan has recently taken an interest in photography, video media and is in process of developing unique films for his music.
