A Seattle native living in Los Angeles, progressive indie rapper Baphomet MC has been making music for nearly a decade. Since the age of ten, Baph has been slaying the kit and composing lyrics to accompany the cacophony of music playing constantly in his head. In addition to his musical passions,
Baph cares deeply about political activism and social justice, primarily for underprivileged and at-risk youth.
Baph’s content encourages a deep sense of social and self-awareness not often present in the conscious mind of the listener. With his slogan 'ape on a dot', Baph humbly summarizes his thoughts on the human identity... a theme often incorporated in his work.
Fed up with standard song structure, complacent lyricism and uninspired delivery, Baph utilizes a plethora of musical genres seldom associated with rap while maintaining a classic hip-hop vibe. Baph’s progressive approach to music, business, politics and life in general is projected clearly in his colorful yet minimalist style.
