Carlos Eduardo Pires (EDUARDO PIRES), born in Volta Redonda-RJ, started his musical activities in the Municipal Band of Pinheiral-RJ.
He passed through the C.S.N. (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional) as a trumpeter. He was a military musician in the Brazilian Army, where he also collaborated with arrangements and orchestrations for the institution's symphonic bands.
He was head trumpeter of the São Paulo State Youth Symphony Orchestra in 2002, conducted at the time by Maestro João Maurício Galindo, and was also 1st trumpeter of the São Paulo State Youth Symphony Band in the year preceding 2001, conducted by Conductor Mônica Giardini .
He studied conducting and theoretical subjects (harmony, orchestration, counterpoint etc.) with conductor and pianist Cézar augusto Custódio in São José dos Campos-SP and has been developing composition and arrangement work for orchestra, band and choir for over 9 years.
He also has works in Brazilian music such as Aquarela do Brasil, made to order for the São Paulo Army Symphonic Band.
Among the sacred pieces, Psalm 119 with 22 movements stands out, with movement 14 "Num" for the choir created by the choir "Officina Vocalis" and a 4-hand piano for the UNASP institution.
In July 2016 it had its tetra-themed symphony for string orchestra founded by the string quartet of the annual string festival of the Sinfony Music School in São Paulo.
