I'm a freelance musician and sound designer who goes by the name Sleepsang.
Throughout my career, I've been involved in diverse projects, including social campaigns and audio branding for prominent names like Monzo, The RCA, and Somerset House. Additionally, I co-produced a podcast for the Unlimited Festival at the Southbank Centre. I've collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Sebastian Koseda and Daisy Chambers-Dubus on funded projects for Google Sustainability, Snapchat Lens Studio, and Festival of the Mind Sheffield. I recently completed a short documentary film score for filmmaker Joshua Spindler. I'm skilled in audio post-production, consistently delivering polished, professional and creative work.
Beyond collaborations and commercial ventures, I also release my own music. My creative approach merges ambient and electroacoustic elements with live coding techniques. I curated a monthly experimental music show called Hyperobjects on 1020 Radio. I regularly perform my music using the live-coding language TidalCycles.
In 2015, I completed my Sonic Arts MA at The University of Sheffield. I also developed the music & art branch of Sheffield’s award winning Foodhall Project , writing and delivering an Arts Council funded exhibition series “Social Sculpture” in 2019. I am a freelance composer based in Sheffield, UK. I have a degree in Music and an MA in Composition and am experienced with instrumental and electronic composition and have composed for short films and various style of music which are available to listen to on iTunes/Spotify.
I love composing short, catchy melodies and for short films, as well as arranging music for a bespoke ensemble for weddings/events etc. Do get in touch if you need any specific music composing or arranging for a film or event!
