Each studio session is 2 hours long. This allows for sharp, concentrated and ultra productive bursts - Jono works extremely efficiently and accomplishes huge amounts in each studio session.
These sessions are often about teasing out the best parts of the song and making them really shine. They are also about realising the artist’s vision for their song and getting those ideas out of their head and coming out of the speakers.
How each session is approached is different and tailored to each artist / song and their needs. Some artists will start a song from scratch with Jono in the studio, other artists will bring in a bare bones idea and will flesh out the backing track, beats, lyrics, melodies and ideas together with Jono. Other artists will bring in a song that has already been roughly produced and it is about increasing the production level of that song to get it to a higher standard. Some artists already have their beats / backing track produced and finalised and just want a high end vocal recording and polished vocal production for their song over the top.

Maari Music is a Music Production Studio comprised of Dominic Cabusi and Bronte Maree O'Neill. They are working in Composition, Songwriting, Production and Publishing with an emphasis on Sync, Score and Soundtrack Music for Film, Television and Media. The duo both hold Bachelor of Music degrees in Contemporary Performance (Australian Institute of Music); giving their work a modern flair and eclectic dynamic as they draw on their studies in Pop, Jazz, Rock, World Music, Film Music, 20th Century Classical and Music Theatre.
In 2020 they worked on their first Feature Film ‘The Legend of The Five;’ a family fantasy which hit 55 Cinemas Australia wide; including Events Cinemas, Village Cinemas, ShowBiz Cinemas and various Independents before having it's TV Premiere on ABC ME in 2021. The film features the duo's 2 Pop Title Tracks and a Complete Score featuring orchestral, acoustic and electronic production. It is currently available on TVOD across Australia, the US and the UK and has hit cinemas across Aus/NZ, the US, Europe and selected countries in Asia.
The duo have also just finished the Film Score and Soundtrack for an Australian coming of age dance film 'The Red Shoes: Next Step' which will be distributed by Pivot Pictures in 2022. This will feature an electro-acoustic style score and a diverse Soundtrack with a range of vocalists set to feature on the tracks written in accordance with the script and characters. They have also begun work on a four song Soundtrack feature for upcoming Teen Fantasy Feature Film 'Ninth Order' and the Theme and Credit tracks for upcoming Sci Fi series 'Tofana,' both set for release in 2023.
Maari are also cutting their teeth in the world of Sync Music / Publishing, releasing a collaboration with Castle Music under KPM Music (Sony Music Publishing) in 2021. The album 'Earth Songs;' was released in association with the AWC (Australian Wildlife Conservancy) and features four of the duo's original tracks on the compilation of songs inspired by conservation, nature and our connection to this planet.
The duo have also been commissioned to compose and produce several Podcast Introductions ('Child of 98,' ‘The Melting Pot’ 'Let's be Naked' and ‘Sort Ya Life Out’), a Radio show introduction for 'Live from Sydney Road' (SYN FM), a Product Promotion for the BOSS GT1B Bass Pedal, a Vodcast theme and underscore for 'Bev's with Sez' an upcoming Ampel Media production and Title Tracks for two Short Films; 'Out of The Shadows' and 'El Sol' (both to be released in 2023). Dominic Cabusi is also working as a freelance composer for Onyx Productions which is currently employing him to work on a Video Game.
