I'm a musician who specializes in teaching piano and music theory. My interest in acting was sparked when I took 2 acting courses for non-majors at York University while I was there studying for my Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors. After I graduated, I began my studies at Talent Inc. Canada and Marvin Karon all the while continuing to teach piano and music theory. Acting classes have introduced me to new skill sets like cold-reading, script analysis and audition technique, not to mention a supportive circle of colleagues. My hope is to bring my unique style of performing to a higher level while becoming more creative and unique individual. I continue to study my craft and to embrace every opportunity afforded to me from the industry. --- **Employment and project experience** **Part Time Piano Teacher** Eddie's Piano Company Limited _February 2014 - July 2016 **Music Theory Instructor** Sonata Music _May 2016 -Present

WEBSITE: http://www.jeffalangreenway.com VIDEOS: http://www.youtube.com/jeffalangreenway "Jeff’s approach very much reminds me of an early Billy Joel . . .If you still haven’t heard at least one of [his songs] by the end of the day you’re missing out . . ." - Johnny Sixstring, weloverocknpop.com "JAG plays piano with a theatrical flair in the classic tradition of Rufus Wainwright, Elton John, Queen and Tori Amos. His take on Don't Dream Its Over, originally by Crowded House, is a prime example of his ability to put his personal stamp on to a work" - William McGuirk, Scene and Heard Jeff Alan Greenway (j.a.g.) is a singer/songwriter and pianist from Toronto, Canada. His original EP "Great Expectations" has received airplay on CBC & Fairchild radio and rave reviews. Jeff has toured Ontario and the East Coast performing live and promoting the album. Jeff has been playing piano since the age of 3, and writing and singing for almost as long. Well-known on the Toronto music scene as both a singer/songwriter and a keyboard player for the likes of indie darlings Cai.ro (recently signed to Maple Music), he has played many venues such as C'est What, the Supermarket, Musideum and the Distillery District with his band and as a solo performer. His music has sparked comparisons to early Billy Joel and Elton John, Jamie Cullum and Ben Folds. But a deeper listen will unearth elements of XTC, Tori Amos and Sarah MacLachlan, among many others. Formally educated in jazz piano and arranging at Humber College, Jeff studied with such renowned pianists as Dave Restivo and Canadian jazz great, Bernie Senensky. His talents have been recognized with a FACTOR Canada New Talent Award, a profile on Rogers, two honorable mentions in the UNISONG international songwriting contest and an honorable mention for his song "Cavalry" in the international Song Of The Year contest. He is currently doing promotional shows for his new album, "Great Expectations" and is available for performances, reviews and interviews.
