Hello everyone, I'm a professional backend software engineer. Most recently, I worked at AWS on Athena - the serverless query engine. I worked on the admission control team (control plane) and my focus was on cloud infrastructure (IaC, automation).
Before that, I was enrolled at UT Austin where completed 5/10 classes towards a Masters Degree in Computer Science (Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Advanced Operating Systems). I was most enthusiastic about NLP, earning an A in the course (at the time GPT3 had just come out!). I plan on finishing my masters soon.
I'm also a passionate musician. Tenor Sax is my main, but I also have an Alto Sax, EWI (synth sax), a Moog, DX7, Theremin, electirc and acoustic guitars. a 6 channel yamaha mixer, 2 channel computer interface mixer, logic pro. I was raised on classic rock, but spent the last few years exploring 50s-60s jazz, blues, soul, motown, disco and FUNK ;) I'm available to play, as well as help record a demo. DeVario Pitchford is an accomplished music composer/producer from Richmond, Virginia. Born with a natural gift for music, a creative mind, and the ability to compose in several different musical styles DeVario has been involved in many projects. He has composed music for Frank Abney of Pixar, Habitat for Humanity, Church & Snyder, Bird’s Nest Foundation, and many others. Throughout his career he has also produced music for artists throughout the U.S. as well as Australia and Russia. Although he did not receive a formal education in music DeVario dedicated himself to years of study in music theory, history, and cultural genres of music. Though he is primarily self-taught, he cannot take the credit for all of his knowledge. DeVario has benefited greatly from the mentorship he has received from award winning composer, John Keltonic. Under the tutelage of Mr. Keltonic, he has become a more dynamic composer and continues to strive for greatness. He desire is to create compelling music for his clients that meets their business needs and exceeds their highest expectations. From classical, to jazz, to orchestral, to dance music, DeVario is able deliver whatever you need for your project.
