dekkstrum (aka Darren Brennan) is an International DJ, producer, promoter and co-owner of the leading techno label and events brand sub:Merged. Whether its a gas factory in Amsterdam, a dark space in the middle of nowhere in Lisbon, or a slaughter house in Stockholm, his unique sound and superb mixing style has cemented his reputation as one of the most talented artists around. Growing up in a small town near the Scottish capital, his interest in music was clear from an early age, spending most of his time learning the DJ craft from his older brother, rather than playing football like the other kids. He progressed well, spinning the decks even before he was old enough to get in clubs. In the late 90's, his passion led him to move to the Midlands, in the heart of the underground scene, where artists like John Digweed, Sasha and many more made their names. During that time, he mastered his skills and learned everything he needed to know about the industry. A few years later, he moved back to his home land with a ton of knowledge and experience. After 25 years in the underground electronic music scene, he had a meeting with another artist that changed everything. In 2014, he met with like-minded international DJ and producer Mohamed Medhat, It was quickly clear that both artists shared the same passion for music and the same ambition to change things and make a difference in the scene today. This led to not only friendship, but a full time collaboration and partnership. Later that year, sub:Merged was born, and there was no looking back for both artists. From working with the best artists of the techno genre, organising top events, releasing high quality music and travelling the world.
