I have always had a love of music; from my earliest days I have memories of '70s commercial pop and collections of 60's pop and soul. Having spent most of my teenage years playing bass in the obligatory heavy metal band, around 1992 I caught the dance music bug and in 2001 I discovered a whole new concept of making music. My enthusiasm was fired, I bought a cheap PC and never looked back, spending the next few years honing my skills to the point where I felt I could inflict myself on the general public! Several new projects ensued, including my audio recording/production studio "Boogs Music" and my vocal house project "Jaxx n Lowe" in partnership with vocalist Jackie "Jaxx" Gillbert. In 2008 I decided to take things to the next level and launched Boogs Music as an independant house label. However, as my promotion and marketing techniques leave a lot to be desired (I'm a musician not a salesman!) this project eventually sank and I folded the label in order to once more concentrate on music production, the area where my true talent lies. The past ten years have seen me work with many varied artists including Ministry of Sound former resident Scott Langley, 2Drunk 2Funk, Didier Vanelli's Cameo Drive, LnM Projekt, Micro Esposito, Mario Haeld and the "Originator of House" Jesse Saunders. I currently work closely with vocal house legend Inaya Day, being one of her favoured producers I have co-written for and with her increasing portfolio of new talent including DeVonde Williams and Rasul A-Salaam. My remix of NY-O-Dae artist Masquerade's track "Higher" took the no.1 spot on Kings of Spins promo pool twice, peaking at no.12 on the Juno funky/club house chart, closely followed by DeVonde's "Jump in" and Rasul's "On the double" both seeing similar chart action. Inaya teamed my production skills to the vocal talent of Roz Brown, breathing life into lyrics by Rosalyn McClure and delivering "Blind to your love" into the eager hands of one of Europe's leading house labels Mjuzieek Digital, who took this classic disco house track to peak at no.11 in the soulful house chart and no.50 in the overall chart on Traxsource. This release has led to several high profile remixes on Mjuzieek including Bruno Kauffmann, MJ White, Maanjit and the legendary K Klass. Success breeds success and having raised my profile I attracted the attention of Miami-based Disco Balls Records, who signed me up for several remixes including work for Jerem A, J-Staff, Lay-Zee & Beatrix Delgado, Special Q and again MJ White. Being a generally all-round nice kinda guy, in 2014 I produced and wrote a charity record for Wildlife SOS and Sobel Promotions in aid of media sensation Raju the crying Elephant which saw considerable success on iTunes stores around the globe. This led to more charity work via Sobel Promotions including a track for Mark "Hollywood Beyond" Rogers and his Birmingham-based BANG foundation, helping underprivileged children find a better path in life through music. Other production credits include Mike Jolly & Coco "I need a miracle" Star, Aaron "Worlds Apart" Poole, SirPaul, Ari Gold and the legendary KC & the Sunshine Band. Looking ever forward, I recently teamed up with Bolton's Jacked crew, helping DJ Keith Laverty to produce the DeepDown radio show, broadcast live over the airwaves every friday night on _Website not available. I teamed up with local DJ Si Carvell to form duo "Si-Lo" with a view to producing more commercially appealing tracks, "Destination Ibiza" being the first planned release.
