Book illustrator wanted for children's history book

Illustrator required for a children’s non-fiction history book project (age group 9-12), focused on a particular historical character from the African continent. The text is about 30 pages (A5) and will need accompanying full page colour illustrations (so about 30 illustrations in all). This is not a text book so there is some scope for some artistic interpretation and flair; however, the illustrations must be true to life and, as much as possible, historically accurate in terms of detail while still being vibrant and captivating enough to attract children’s interest. The illustrations are a vital part of the book and the artist will get a joint citation with the author. Research material will be supplied to the artist to assist with depictions.
