Need illustrations for a book of children prayers

My project is a book of children’s prayers. It is my goal to publish the prayers with simple animated pictures for children to comprehend that is related to the specific prayer written. Perhaps ages 4 to 8.

Who are you, and what is your particular skillset? (What’s your background, and in what capacity do you need to hire a freelancer?)
I am a Christian educator who is passionate about the importance of nurturing children in faith. This project started in 2019 but has not come into fruition because I didn’t know how to go about having pictures created for the book. I plan to continue with this project by adding more books to make a volume of prayers if this one is successful.

Where do you need help?( Is there a gap in your own expertise that can be filled by a freelancer?)
I need help with making the written prayers come to life for a child. I also need a front cover design as well that attracts not only the child, but the parent as well. My preference is to have simple but fun animated characters (preferably characters of a variety of ethnic backgrounds). I’m also open to “stick characters” as well. However, if there is something more creative that the freelancer has as an idea, I’m open to that as well.

These are a few examples of the prayers I’ve written:

Dear God,
Thank you for making crayons in all the many colors. I thank you for my sister and my little baby brother! Amen.

Dear Mr. Jesus,
I spilled the milk and grandma was a little mad. I told her that I was sorry, and I’m thankful you made her glad. Amen!

Dear God,
I said a bad word that I didn’t mean to say. Will you please forgive me, this will make my day! Amen!

What are the priorities for this project? (Do the project have an urgent deadline? Does it need to be delivered to an expert standard?)
My goal is to have the book completed and ready for sale by September 7, 2021.

Do you have a brief or other reference materials that can be provided?(Include any specifications within the brief, as well as external links to any relevant files.)
I do have a file of the written prayers saved via Microsoft Word. I’m assuming that can be sent to the freelancer in the next process.
