Please note this is a temporary contract with a duration of 18 months, with the possibility for extension. This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
 
Meet your future team:

The Inline Digital team at Arc’teryx is integrated cross functionally across Design and Development to bring digital capability and expertise to the forefront of our product creation process. We streamline workflow through ideation and prototyping, create efficiencies by utilizing 3D assets early in the development and commercialization processes, and provide industry leading digital assets for internal and external partners.

If you were in the 3D Technical Specialist role now, here are some of the core activities you would be responsible for:
* Supporting the digitization of all categories of complex technical apparel and hardgoods product and digital asset management (materials, trims, product) and maintaining the 3D library for materials and trim assets
* Supporting the Design and Development teams’ digitalization capabilities and workflow by providing advanced 3D design, visualization and prototyping tools and training
* Serving as a resource for CLO3D across the design floor, leading the onboarding of new users and sharing of best practices
* Creating checkpoints throughout the asset creation process to ensure asset compliance and sign off by the appropriate partner
* Discovering, evaluating, and sharing other advanced digital creation technologies that support design and company objectives
* Supporting the continual evolution and upkeep of 3D block library
* Supporting the maintenance of 3D Avatars for development and marketing use
* Applying surface design details including material textures, trims to 3D renderings and support in revisions as needed
* Helping to identify opportunities to reduce sampling through the use of 3D technology

Are you our next 3D Technical Specialist?
* You have a degree/diploma in design, graphic arts, or similar field, with 3+ years’ experience in the application of 3D creation technologies (ideally in a technical apparel design environment)
* You are technically proficient with various technologies: CLO3D, Adobe Creative Suite, Gerber, Substance Designer, MODO
* You have an understanding of the design and development process
* You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
* You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
* You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
* You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

* A strong knowledge of Arc’teryx products and interest/involvement in activities Arc’teryx makes products for
