PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Senior Java Developer – Electronic Trading Specialist, you will join the eFI team and help us optimize our e-trading platform performance while adopting new connectivity. Your expertise in low latency programming and experience with electronic trading will be crucial in building bespoke pricing and trading platforms, as well as distributing market data to external clients.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience developing multi-threaded/concurrency applications, including code analysis and performance tuning/profiling of real-time, high-volume, low-latency systems. You should also have extensive experience with electronic trading, a deep understanding of FX or E-Fixed income business and trading practices, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with senior traders and other developers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

You will ensure a robust high-performance E-Fixed income Distribution Platform that follows best practice in terms of architecture, configuration, and capacity planning. You will also identify areas of improvement and performance tuning to eliminate bottlenecks, work with financial engineers and business representatives to understand business needs and design potential solutions, and manage the technical relationship with external electronic market technology teams and internal development and connectivity teams. Additionally, you will provide third-line support to existing systems to resolve problems and educate first/second-line RTB, continually improving functionality and service levels to the business.
