Job Description

Are you a skilled Power BI expert with a passion for making a real impact in the world of enterprise asset management? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the NYCT – Department of Subways (DOS) as a temporary consultant in the Enterprise Asset Management Department.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of critical HxGN EAM sustainment support, catering to the specific needs of DOS Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). Your responsibilities will encompass collaborating with business lines to understand their objectives and prioritize opportunities, ensuring that the existing Power BI solutions are available and well-maintained.

As a key member of the team, you’ll be working closely with the Report Development Lead, expertly handling data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL. You’ll also be creating mock-up reports to present proof-of-concept reviews, while actively contributing to end-to-end data lifecycle management and verifying data accuracy and completeness.

Your expertise in developing and implementing Power BI solutions will shine as you craft system reporting solutions based on business needs, validate test cases, and provide essential end-user training and reference materials. Your support during implementation go-live and post-go-live activities will be vital in ensuring a smooth transition.

To excel in this role, you’ll need a minimum of 5 years of HxGN EAM (or similar enterprise data management software) experience and 5 years of IT-related expertise. Your proficiency in Data Analysis (DAX), M, ETL (Power Query), SQL, and performance optimization will set you apart. If you have Microsoft Power BI or Azure certifications, that’s even better, and experience working in an Agile project delivery model is an added advantage.
