Overview:

The Temporary Assistant Retoucher is responsible for Free People’s beauty and lifestyle retouching of e-commerce, web creative and social imagery. The primary objective of this role is to work collaboratively with Art Directors, Photographers, Project Managers to achieve the desired aesthetic of the brand, through the imagery presented to the customer, across all platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Retoucher is responsible for on-figure and still imagery for Free Peoples e-commerce site.
• Retouch high volume count of e-commerce imagery, meeting a minimum asset count daily.
• Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Maintain brand aesthetic and image quality while adhering to style and specification guidelines.
• Clearly communicate progress updates and file delivery deadlines.
• Able to react quickly to support coworkers with urgent post production needs and directives.
• Assisting with color corrections and clipping masks.

Job Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CC.
• Exceptional knowledge of photo retouching and studio workflow.
• Photo compositing, masking, silhouetting and color corrections.
• Experience in beauty, portrait, and lifestyle retouching.
• Highly organized and efficient.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fashion trends and how it relates to our retouching flow.
• Understanding of Digital Asset Management programs is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Fashion, or a related field
