Job Description
DMS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Instructional Systems Designer to join our team. As a Senior ISD, you will be responsible for designing and developing comprehensive and effective instructional materials and courses. Your expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and technology integration will be instrumental in creating engaging and impactful learning experiences for our target audience. The position requires direct experience in the design and development of classroom and technology-based course materials. The candidate will provide ISD support to the client and stakeholders to complete customer tasking.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day management and supervision of contract personnel and support operations, involving multiple tasks with large groups of personnel across multiple locations.
- Supervise personnel to ensure quality performance and contract compliance, and ensure a safe and fair work environment. Tracks work schedules to ensure the effectiveness of time allocation and production of quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Apply ISD knowledge and experience to provide oversight and mentorship of classroom and e-learning instructional systems design, courseware design, development, and writing to ensure course content and implementation is in accordance with instructional systems design methodology.
- Assist with the identification and creation of instructional material to address field-driven performance shortfalls and client training needs.
- Provide technical guidance on complex courseware design to junior courseware developers and instructional media staff members.
- Regularly participate in meetings and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders, and manage needs and/or gap analysis to determine training requirements.
- Support course documentation including, but not limited to the course design document, instructor/facilitator and student guides. course syllabus, practical exercises, assessments, and related materials.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 7 years experience designing complex subject matter courseware and leading courseware development teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing contracts.
- Minimum 2 years of successful supervision of subordinates.
- Excellent written communication skills.
Education
- Master’s degree in an Instructional Design, Education, Business, Administration, or Management related fields.
