Experience Freelance Floral Designer - Damselfly Designs

Damselfly Designs is seeking an experienced Freelance Floral Designer for the fall wedding season. Designer MUST have experience (2+ years) in wedding and event design. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, confident, have a positive attitude, with a full knowledge of flower varieties and various design styles. We would love to see pictures of your work.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Processing, checking in, and quality control of incoming fresh product.
• Prepping various containers, dishes, and urns for arrangements.
• Designing and arranging large ceremony pieces including urns, structures, and arches.
• Designing and arranging reception pieces including tall centerpieces, low centerpieces, and bud vases.
• Designing and arranging personal flowers including bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages.
• Available Monday – Friday with potential for some weekends when needed.
• Maintaining a professional and positive attitude within a fast-paced, constantly changing, creative environment.
• Upholding a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Skill and knowledge requirements:

• Experience (2+ years) specifically with wedding and event design a MUST. Ability to provide references and past work history a MUST.
• Familiarity with various oasis foam products is a must.
• Ability to follow a predetermined recipe and replicate a sample.
• Strong knowledge of flower varieties and names.
• Strong work ethic, responsible, reliable, and motivated.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members. Ask questions when necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with staff and adhere to all company procedures and protocols.
• Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude within a fast-paced, constantly changing, creative environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
