Client is looking for SQL Server Developer but they need to be local or nearby to Houston TX and willing to work onsite 3 days per week. First and foremost, candidates must be developers, not database administrators. If they have administration experience it must be earlier in their career. Client is moving their databases from SQL Server to Azure Data Factory. Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our database systems. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of SQL Server, SSIS Jobs, database partitions, stored procedures and data warehousing, and troubleshooting. This person will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, designing and building database solutions, as well as ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in SQL Server development and administration.
• Strong experience in SSIS, stored procedures, database partitions, and data warehousing.
• 5+ years troubleshooting and infra database management in an Azure environment.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain SQL Server database solutions.
• Develop and maintain SSIS jobs for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Create and manage database partitions to improve performance and scalability.
• Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers to automate tasks and ensure data accuracy.
• Work with end-users to identify requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform data analysis, data mapping, and data modeling to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Build and maintain data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence and reporting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and reliability issues.

Salary: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
