Role and Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems using Python and Django framework.
• Creating and optimizing RESTful APIs to provide efficient and reliable communication between various components of our application.
• Collaborating with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment of technical solutions.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
• Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and system scalability concerns.
• Implementing unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing strategies to maintain code quality.
• Leveraging AWS services to architect and deploy scalable and reliable infrastructure.
• Taking ownership of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring.
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to contribute to technical innovation within the company.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
• Proficiency in Python and Django framework is a must.
• Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with databases, both relational and NoSQL, and optimizing database performance.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with frontend developers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience in Fintech.

Salary:

£57,807.00-£63,417.00 per year
