Job Description

Working in Firefly means supporting our crew and our creativity, you will be producing and editing video content across a wide range of industries, styles and types, from events to interviews, reporting directly to the executive producer, you are someone who loves what you do, you don’t ignite the passion in your work, you ignite the passion in others with your work.

In a nutshell, you will:

• Working closely with the crew on actual assignments and projects
• Soft skills, a learning mindset, teamwork and the little fine things in life besides creative that makes a creative… creative
• Working with clients directly and meeting tight deadlines
• Balancing between creative direction and client’s requirements
• Being resourceful, problem solving independently, using YouTube and google on technical and how modern creatives learn and improvise with creative solutions
• Do research on projects, and equipment and learn new applications such as using our royalty-free music platform, co-editing platform

Your primary task includes;

• Working closely with the team to understand requirements and communicate the intended creative vision for productions.
• Execute Post-Production by digitally cutting all the files filmed and putting them in a narrative sequence that includes subtle modern transitions such as luma-fade, sound effects that impress and over-deliver – refining footage and working with the creative management to do final checks.
• Execute colour grading, accentuate the visual elements in the footage, digitally manipulate, enhance or colour correct.
• Adding other effects such as adding lower-thirds, supers and text overlays.
• Perform Event Videography and be cross-trained and deployed in different areas of video production, filming, lighting and audio with the crew.
• Perform research and provide creative direction for the video editing process.
• Perform administrative matters such as diligence in the storage and editing of various assignments, projects and content.
• Perform administrative matters such as emailing client video deliverables link to download and requesting project visual assets when needed.
• Being open to learning new skills, software, and equipment.

Working Days and Hours:

• Up to 6 Days Work Week(Need not go to the office on weekends, reserved for actual productions or post-production rushes for client projects.)
• Location at Firefly Studio
• Weekdays 1030 am to 630 pm unless there is an off-site event or production
• Able to work on weekday nights and weekends including public holidays when rostered
• Need not to return or report to the studio if there is an off-site event unless there is equipment that needs to retrieve or return

Dress Code:

• Casual (e.g T-shirts) during regular days
• Onsite assignments will require you to dress up in a proper top, bottoms and covered shoes
