Marinko’s Desserts is a raw, gluten-free, plant-based San Francisco Bay Area startup that is the future of the dessert industry. We’re seeking a Photographer and Social Media Manager to capture and showcase Marinko’s Desserts across various settings and drive significant growth and engagement on social media.

About the Role:

Join us as a Photographer and Social Media Manager to capture and showcase Marinko’s Desserts across various settings—from farmers’ markets to our Berkeley production site, to professional photoshoots. Your role involves snapping engaging shots and strategically amplifying our brand’s presence on social media to meet ambitious growth targets.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Photographing and filming our desserts, production, and team, capturing key moments and the essence of our brand.
2. Accelerating our Instagram follower count from 100 to over 10,000 within 6 months, while maximizing revenue generation and engagement from these interactions.
3. Developing and executing a robust food marketing and social media strategy that ensures explosive growth, high engagement rates, and community building.
4. Collaborating with influencers and leveraging network opportunities to enhance our brand’s visibility and reach.

Requirements

• Proven experience in social media scaling, with documented success stories of achieving over 10,000 followers specifically in the food, health, or lifestyle sectors.
• Minimum 3 years of shooting experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates your skill and expertise in the areas we need.
• Strong background in social media content creation and management, with an emphasis on growth hacking, analytics, and engagement strategies.
• Exceptional skills in viral marketing, influencer collaborations, and community engagement.
• Can-do attitude and strategic and analytical approach to growth and engagement.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to take feedback.
• Ability to seamlessly blend into the background and capture candid moments.
• Ability to stay positive and patient under pressure.
• Excellent conversational skills.

Other Information

• Adept at both raw and edited content creation, with a keen eye for what works and what doesn’t.
• Expertise in navigating the food industry’s trends and creating content that stands out in a crowded marketplace.
• Strong understanding of social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data into actionable growth strategies.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Canva, Lightroom, and other relevant content creation and editing software.
• Own camera, equipment, and transportation.
• Flexibility and innovation in adapting strategies to maximize growth and engagement.
• Ability to film without disrupting operations or sales.
• Maintains professionalism while interacting with customers.
