Job Description

The Stormwater Innovation Center (SIC) Outreach & Social Media Associate plays a crucial role in expanding outreach efforts, generating engaging social media content, and identifying collaboration opportunities. The position involves attending community events, creating educational content for social media, managing volunteer recruitment, conducting research on community engagement, and establishing connections with environmental organizations.

Requirements

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly urban communities
• Ability to engage communities in science and manage volunteers
• Strong writing skills for communicating science to the public
• Experience in social media, specifically with Facebook/Instagram; Wix and Canva experience is a plus
• Background in graphic design and social media marketing is desirable

Other Details

• Duration: 400 hours, full-time or part-time
• Hybrid schedule: Work from home and Audubon Headquarters; frequent travel to Providence and other locations in Rhode Island
• Salary: $20 per hour
