Job Description

WUSA9 News in Washington, D.C. is seeking a part-time Video Editor to collaborate with various members of the News Department. The role involves creative storytelling, editing different video elements, and coordinating video feeds. The ideal candidate should have exceptional communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a team setting while demonstrating strong news judgment and a talent for visual storytelling.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have experience with non-linear editing systems, preferably in a local TV news department environment. They should be capable of creating and editing content for on-air broadcasts and web platforms within set deadlines. Flexibility in work hours, including mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary, is required. Adherence to brand guidelines and standards is also essential for this role.
