Job Description

The Associate Podcast & Video Producer at Cipher Online Media Inc (The Cipher Brief) is responsible for preparing in-house videos and podcasts. This role involves collaboration with the editorial team to plan and execute regular podcast and video episodes, coordinating audio/video needs, logistical aspects of production, identifying relevant material, and overseeing post-production activities. The Producer must communicate effectively and meet all established deadlines.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• Proven experience in producing high-quality podcast & video content
• Strong journalistic writing/storytelling skills with the ability to write clear and concise scripts
• The ability to remain flexible, handle multiple tasks, and ask for help when needed
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Audition, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
• Knowledge of post-production processes and techniques
• Team-oriented mindset, able to take direction and meet deadlines in high-pressure situations
• 1-3 years of experience in network television or major-market news production (newsroom experience preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of national security or foreign policy topics is a plus
• Willingness to work alternate shifts, including weekends and overnights
• Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Atlanta, GA before starting work
