Job Description

The teams at our Redditch Support Centre work collaboratively with every area of our business, playing a key role in our success and growth. This position involves being part of a dynamic, fast-paced working environment where expertise and focus are valued.

As a Digital Front-End Developer within the Optimisation team, your primary responsibility will be to support the A/B testing programme by building best-in-class optimisations via our A/B testing tool, Webtrends Optimize. This role is essential to the end-to-end Digital optimisation and development cycle.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building A/B tests within Webtrends Optimize to support the Digital optimisation and development cycle.
  • Building strong relationships with Product, UX, IT, and Development functions to ensure tests are built and deployed to the highest standards.
  • Ensuring all code conforms to industry best practices, is optimised for core web vitals, and provides a first-class user experience.
  • Supporting the Digital team to deliver tests on time, ensuring alignment with brand, UX, and UI guidelines.
  • Setting and managing approval deadlines, ensuring timely sign-offs for all work.
  • Supporting the development roadmap while collaborating closely with UX, UI, and designers.
  • Supporting the QA process by performing timely checks on website code and correcting issues as necessary.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
  • Experience using A/B testing tools, ideally Webtrends Optimize.
  • Good working knowledge of e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Responsive design experience.
  • Knowledge of UI & UX design principles, including wireframing, mobile first, and user-centric design.
  • Confidence to plan and delegate tasks.
  • Inquisitive and determined nature.
  • Demonstrable relevant industry experience, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to Digital systems and metrics.
  • Creative thinking abilities to deliver innovative concepts.
  • Empathy to understand the user’s perspective.
