Position: Marketing Manager - Summer Projects

Type: Freelance / Contract role

Location: London or remote (with travel to Leicestershire and London required)

Salary: £135 per day, £35,000 pro rata

Contract Duration: March to June

Reports to: Head of Marketing and Communications

Overview: This role supports the wider team during the busy summer period, managing campaigns for the Nevill Holt Festival and another London-based summer event. The candidate will collaborate with the head of marketing, marketing officer, and social media officer to develop and implement the campaign strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategically develop full-scale marketing campaigns based on ticket and footfall targets, budgets, and timelines.
• Attend meetings with internal and external teams to enhance campaign performance.
• Develop and evolve existing brands to achieve key sales KPIs.
• Collaborate with external agencies (media, creative, design, PR) to ensure high-quality campaign rollouts.
• Work with the Social Media and Content Officer to amplify campaigns.
• Coordinate with the press team to maximize earned media coverage.
• Manage event websites and create site signage in collaboration with the production department.
• Support on-site teams for the effective running of events.
• Manage budgets effectively.

Requirements

• Experienced marketer with extensive knowledge of full-scope marketing campaigns.
• Background in a ticket sale-focused environment (events, festivals, live music, etc.) is advantageous.
• Strong digital marketing knowledge with the ability to set KPIs for paid media campaigns.
• Sales-focused with analytical skills to interpret marketing analytics.
• Keen interest in the live entertainment industry is essential.
• Experience managing marketing budgets and tracking KPIs.
• Familiarity with London cultural sectors.
• High attention to detail and strong copywriting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), CMS-based websites, and film editing is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressurized environment.
