Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with experience deploying and managing applications using AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS). The ideal candidate will have expertise in containerization, automation, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable deployment pipelines while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications using AWS ECS (Fargate & EC2 launch types)
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK
• Optimize and manage AWS services such as ECS, ECR, ALB, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch, and S3
• Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting with tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog
• Work with developers to improve deployment strategies, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance
• Ensure security best practices by managing IAM roles, security groups, and implementing compliance policies
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and provide solutions for scalability and high availability
• Stay up to date with the latest DevOps trends and AWS best practices

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or SRE
• Hands-on experience deploying applications using AWS ECS (Fargate/EC2)
• Strong expertise with Docker & container orchestration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or ELK Stack
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go
• Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, ALB, Security Groups, Route 53)
• Experience implementing security best practices in AWS environments
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certification (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administrator)
• Experience with serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway)
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux
• Background in performance optimization for cloud applications
