Job Description

Vanguard School is looking for an Elementary Lunch Facilitator. Reporting to the Student Life Coordinator, the Lunch Facilitator is responsible for supervising and supporting students during lunch.

Requirements

• Hold a Secondary 5 diploma or a diploma/certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized.
• Available during elementary school lunch periods, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Experience in animation and intervention with young people.
• Proficiency in spoken and written French and good knowledge of English.
• Ability to work in a team.

Tasks

• In collaboration with the team of animators, plan and lead activities during the lunch recess period.
• Supervise students in the various meeting rooms.
• Exercise preventive supervision and actively inform students about the regulations in force, sanctioning inappropriate behavior as needed.
• Ensure the follow-up of punitive and restorative measures.
• Intervene when situations require it.
• Communicate all problematic situations to teachers, the student life coordinator, or the administration.
• Ensure compliance with the school’s code of conduct.
• As needed, perform other related tasks.

Salary Offered

Between $21.37 and $25 per hour, depending on experience.
