    This creative practice-based project attempts to re-design the soundtrack of 1982’s Bladerunner sequel, exploring its use of classic noir elements which are underlined or represented through various sound approaches. Furthermore, the existential crisis the protagonists of both films have experienced is reinforced by prioritizing synthesized elements over organic ones within key moments of the film’s soundtrack.     The following video presents the output of two embeddable foley synthesis engines. One generates gunshots for two types of weapons, pistol and assault rifle while the last one generates footsteps on four different textures. Both synthesis engines are embedded into the Unity engine, sonifying the Creator KIT: FPS game.

    This project involved the orchestration of Hans Zimmer’s Look to the stars score where I have defined my ensemble as a string quartet accompanied by timpani with a piano playing the score.
