ABOUT king large the poet was born and bred in a small township in east of joburg i grew up in Mandela park. then in 98 moved to rondebult i grew up exposed in pantsula dance and He began writing he was on his early days in high school. in 90's.The get involved with poetry in 2002 when he was introduced in love life program started performing in 2005 started to write kwaito music in my early age. my grooming started when i join a group called G.A.K that consist of three members (gareth,andile and kinglarge) which we where doing hip kwaito pop a mixture of hip hop and kwaito PERFORMANCE HISTORY i started performing in 2005 where i was recruited by I.Q promotions SALA AWARDS. i shared stage with the like likes of KWESTA , F EAZY , ZULU BOY ,BUCIE ,UNTAMANDE EXPRESSIONS , WEZA , SBO THE POET , LAST POET ,RINGO , AFRO SOUL , BERITA STIMELA , TUMI THE VOLUME , ISSA MATTHEWS JUST NAMING THE FEW I ALSO HAS SOME RADIO INTERVIEWS AND ON LINE MAGAZINE COVER RAGE NAMELY 97.1 KASIE FM, VOW FM , RADIO UNIQUE , KHOZI FM,UJ FM AND ALEX FM I WAS AWARDED THE BEST POET IN EKURHULENI 2013.
