Job Description

This is a temporary position for a Creative Writing Ecotone Cover Designer at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). The primary responsibility involves graphic design for Ecotone, the literary magazine, focusing on the development of the cover for Ecotone’s Invisible Issue, which includes drafting and revising several versions of the design.

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• MFA in creative writing
• At least three years’ experience working with a literary magazine
• Knowledge of Adobe products, particularly InDesign

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience working with Ecotone; familiarity with its processes and procedures

Work Conditions

Work Hours: Flexible up to 20 hours per week

Work Days: Flexible

Hours Per Week: Varies

Anticipated Hiring Range: $34 / hour
