I’m looking for an experienced podcast producer to own the end-to-end post-production of my weekly podcast. The show explores the tension between work, human creativity and emerging technologies like AI. Conversations are recorded on Riverside.fm and need to go from raw recording to polished episode.

This role starts with a paid trial episode. If we’re a good fit, it moves into an ongoing engagement for a minimum of 12 months. 4 episodes per month, one published per week. I’m looking for someone who wants to grow with the show, not just fulfil a brief. I provide recordings 4-6 weeks ahead of air date so you have breathing room to do this well.

Per-Episode Workflow (in order)

  1. Ingest & Review
  • Receive raw files from Riverside.fm (video + audio tracks)
  • Review the full recording and flag any technical issues (audio quality, background noise, clipping, levels) for future recordings.
  1. Edit. Video & Audio
  • Remove filler words (umms, ahhs, false starts) in a natural way that doesn’t make the conversation feel jumpy or robotic
  • Remove lip smacks where possible, treated with the same care as filler word removal to keep the conversation feeling naturall
  • Sync multi-track audio and video from Riverside
  1. Intro Assembly
  • I will provide a clip from the recording 24-30s to use for the intro hook, this may need some editing to fit the template
  • Apply the provided intro template (video template and PSD assets supplied by me)
  • Assemble in this order: branded intro + hook clip + episode content + branded outro
  • The intro music should open slightly louder, drop down under the hook clip, then rise again into the outro
  1. Sound Design & Normalisation
  • Normalise audio levels across the full episode (intro music, conversation, any clips)
  • Apply noise reduction and EQ as needed
  • Deliver clean, broadcast-ready audio
  1. Social Clips
  • Generate 2-3 clips for social media using Opus Clip (access provided)
  • Review and edit the AI-selected clips for quality, accuracy and framing
  • Primary platforms are LinkedIn and Instagram. Formats can be adjusted within Opus Clip to suit each platform
  1. Captions & Transcript
  • Generate accurate transcript from the final edited episode
  • Create captions file (SRT or compatible format) for video
  1. Show Notes
  • I will create
  1. Asset Delivery for Approval
  • Package and share all assets for my review
    • Final video file
    • Final audio file
    • Social clips (2-3)
    • Transcript
    • Captions file

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven podcast post-production experience. Video and audio, not just audio-only
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (I’ll supply PSD and video templates)
  • Strong audio editing skills. Audition, Logic, Descript or equivalent
  • Experience with Riverside.fm multi-track exports
  • Comfortable working in Opus Clip to generate and refine social clips
  • Familiarity with podcast syndication platforms (Buzzsprout, Captivate, RSS.com or similar)
  • YouTube publishing experience. Titles, descriptions, chapters, captions
  • Solid written English for show notes and transcripts
  • Eye for storytelling. You need to find the hook, not just follow instructions
  • Ability to give constructive, specific feedback on recordings

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI, tech or thought leadership content
  • Familiarity with Descript for transcript-led editing
  • Basic Photoshop skills to adapt PSD templates if needed
  • Understanding of social media content strategy

What I Provide

  • Raw recordings via Riverside.fm
  • Hook clip for intro
  • Branded intro and outro (video templates, PSDs, music)
  • Opus Clip account access
  • Access to syndication platform, YouTube and social accounts
  • Clear brief and feedback from first few episodes
  • 4-6 week lead time on every recording

Trial Episode

Before we commit to the full 12 months, I’d like us to work through one episode together. This protects both sides. You get a real feel for the show, the assets and how I work. I get to see your edit, your feedback and your communication style in practice. If it’s a good fit, we move forward. Paid work from day one.

To Apply

Please share examples of podcast episodes you’ve produced end-to-end, specifically anything involving video, branded intros and social clip creation. Tell me how you handle filler word removal without making the edit feel unnatural.

This is a minimum 12-month commitment. I’m not looking for a one-off or a trial run that leads nowhere. I want someone invested in the show’s quality and growth over time. If you’re looking for a long-term creative partnership, let’s talk.

Please include your proposed monthly rate for the 12 months in your application, my max budget per month is $400-$500
