Job Description

About the Position: Straight Shot Post is seeking a talented, creative, highly self-motivated, and enthusiastic video editor for a longform narrative project.

About Straight Shot Post: Straight Shot Post is a full-service post-production company based in New York. We are a fully remote company with team members from all over the US and Argentina. Our mission is to accurately translate our client’s vision from concept to content using empathy and our unique storytelling framework, Puzzle Piece Storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow Straight Shot Post’s editing workflow
• Execute our client’s vision on each project
• Edit projects based on the client’s tone and feel
• Handle full-service post-production tasks including ingesting and organizing footage, editing, basic sound design, color correction, and motion graphics

Requirements

• Proficient in English
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and work under time pressure deadlines
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Major in Film and TV
• Experience in client services
• Knowledge in Frame.io, Google Suite
• Previous experience in post-production or internship in post-production
• Understanding of latest trends in video editing and motion graphics
• Understanding of social media, videos, and YouTube best practices
