Job Description
Title: Instructional Designer / eLearning Developer (Part-time Temporary)
Department: Education and Certification Strategy (ECS)
Reports To: Director of Education and Certification Strategy
Classification: Part-time Temporary (possibility of temp to hire)
The Instructional Designer / eLearning Developer will focus on providing engaging education to facilitate a consistent, quality customer learning experience. This role collaborates with subject matter experts to plan, develop, update, deliver, and evaluate educational content for online, hybrid, and in-person formats. The position demands a high level of organization, detail orientation, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with a focus on instructional design and technology, education, or other relevant field; two to three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate knowledge of eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise required)
- Intermediate knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theories
- Experience with video or animation creation
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with learning management systems
- Familiarity with association management software
Competencies:
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of IT literacy with proficiency in MS Office Suite of products, eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise), video and animation software
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently
- Willingness to offer and accept constructive feedback about process improvements
- Willingness to be a good team player
- Knowledge of current instructional design principles and tools used in online education
Specific Duties
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts on the ECS team to analyze learning needs and plan learning experiences with defined objectives
- Design learning activities, such as online courses, video, and other interactive materials, that are user-friendly, accessible, effective, and error-free
- Develop online educational content using Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, and/or video or animation software
- Assist subject matter experts with measuring impact and effectiveness of learning programs
- Research new developments and technologies in the Learning and Development field
Working Conditions
- Position is fully remote.
- Flexible work times within a Monday through Friday workweek, not to exceed 29 hours per week.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Compensation and Benefits
Base Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
