Parallelle is looking for a freelance travel bag and luggage designer to add to our team. Your role will focus on working closely with the Creative Director and Owner to ideate and design new concepts for the brand. From ideation to final product, you will own and manage the life cycle of new developments. The position will start at 2 days a week in the office and potentially grow from there.

Requirements

Qualifications: 5-7 years minimum design experience, experience in handbags or luggage a must. A portfolio that demonstrates an elevated and on-trend assortment of work. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in the Adobe Suite (Primarily Photoshop and Illustrator).

Responsibilities: Ideate and design new and exciting travel products that are on-trend and brand right. Create CAD’s, technical drawings, and tech packs. Regularly follow up with overseas factories regarding tech packs, style updates, and new developments. Work closely with PD to ensure samples are developed and priced correctly. Create and maintain mood boards and trend packets, researching materials for inspiration and direction of new products. Partake in sample reviews with cross-functional partners.
