Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Director (Digital), the UX design lead is responsible for overseeing all design work for Jobs and Skills Australia’s websites and web applications. This includes ensuring consistency with government policies and standards. The role involves working in a Drupal CMS/JavaScript environment and using prototyping in Figma to design digital interactions for various audience cohorts and platforms.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Accountability for quality user interface and graphical design.
- Designing and conducting user experience research.
- Eliciting requirements and preferences from stakeholders.
- Designing user interactions and interfaces to meet business and audience needs.
- Using content management systems to create webpages and oversee usability and design of digital products.
- Creating wireframes and mock-ups adhering to government standards.
Requirements
- Familiarity with UI design techniques and basic design principles.
- Ability to follow design briefs accurately.
- Iteratively improve designs based on user feedback.
- Use tools like Figma and Balsamiq.
- Implement brand and style guidelines for consistent interfaces.
