Hi! My name is Gaba Wright, an Australian composer specializing in media composition, songwriting, arranging, orchestration, and production. Having begun songwriting, composition, and arrangement from an early age, I am continuing to develop and expand my sound through wide pool of varying projects, live ensembles, and sonic mediums. My sound is an expansive, multi-layered combination of influences and soundscapes. I have had an exponentially increasing line-up of opportunities and accolades, including composing for an array of NSW Health Promotional videos (2022), writing music for The University of Sydney's advertising campaign (2021), working with MADBS Composing Palace on arrangements for performances at the State Theatre earlier in 2020/2021, composing and conducting music for Shakespeare’s 'The Tempest' for International Grammar School’s original production (2019), and more. I have also received accolades for a large-scale choral/loopstation work 'INNERMIND' composed in 2021, 'Night Waves' and 'Why Do I Get Up?' (2018), as well as having composed works for ensemble players at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Gone, Gone Again, [2018], Weekdays [2020], and Nightbus to Nowhere [2021]). Initially a songwriter, I have also written and released two studio albums and a handful of singles. Debut solo endeavor Afterhours (2019) began my journey and was met with success; spawning interviews with Happy Mag, Girl At the Rock Show, and multiple radio appearances. I have also recently released a new single, Can There Be Such Thing as Silence?, promoting a new album that is set to be released early in 2023. I am also a pianist/keyboardist, saxophonist, vocalist and percussionist. I am currently studying guitar, electric bass, and piano accordion with the goal of becoming a self-sufficient, autonomous musician able both to record and/or perform all elements of my songs and productions. Hoping to be known for consistency and reliability, I am focused on maintaining chameleonic diversity while also establishing a recognisable, individual sound. In 2021, I graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Creative Industries. I have also recently re-scored Seth Boyden’s renowned animation An Object At Rest, as well as the Blender Foundation’s Elephant’s Dream and Cosmos Laundromat. Furthermore, I have recently written music for the Melbourne-based game development team The Skeleton Gang’s new project, Lair of the Narcomancer. My original music from Afterhours is also set to appear in Jaimie Conlon’s upcoming film Jellybean.

A three-time award winning pop artist, Ariyah is a singer, songwriter, recroding artist, concept & screenplay writer, video producer, video director, co-editor and executive producer of all her work. Ariyah has been growing in popularity and gaining the attention of the public over the last few years with her melodic and dynamic original pop music and music videos. Her last release, a project she considers extremely dear to heart, was an original Pop/Rock ballad with an uplifting, powerful beat called “Our Home” which features the up and coming rapper JaiC. “Our Home” which lays the back drop for Ariyah to deliver a profound message promoting compassion and peace, went on to winning the artist her 2nd award for ‘Best Video Song Middle East’ in the female indie artist category in January 2016 at the World Top DJ Awards. Prior to Our Home, Ariyah earned herself the ‘Best Debut Female Singer’ award at the World Top DJs Awards in November 2014 for her second original Video / Song release, “The Club” DJ AKS remix, a fun Pop/Dance song with a cartoon video concept which really adds to the defiant lyrics of the song. Growing up in Sydney Australia, Ariyah first showed strong signs of musical talent at the age of 4 becoming her family’s singing diva. Her parents later enrolled her in a music school when she was 8 where she began playing the piano. The rebellious student would ditch the books and spend much of her time composing her own original music. She would write a lot of poetry initially, but it was only at the age of 15 that she started putting the words and music together and creating her songs. The songwriter works around the clock to finance all her work. She pushes herself extremely hard to grow with each new video release. "Don’t Come Back" is a stunning trip-hop ballad Ariyah had performed at the World Top DJs Awards 2016 which earned her a standing ovation and much praise after showcasing her gifted vocal ability. This sad song tells the story of a heartbroken girl who condemns her partner for walking out on their relationship over a minor argument the night before. Greatly aided by the artistic visuals created for the song, “Don't Come Back” has a Short Film and a Music Video, written, directed and financed by Ariyah, which went on to winning the Award of Merit at the Global Short Film awards October 2017. Sydney-based composer Daniel Markulic can only be described as an experimentalist. Markulic began his journey as a composer around 2010 when his interest was transfixed by the works of Childish Gambino, Funkadelic, Hiatus Kayote, Led Zeppelin and Elton John, among others. Seeking like-minded people, Markulic played in 'Kimono Pool' - a Wollongong based funk band. Soon after, his unsated fascination for music composition took him elsewhere. Encountering the likes of Shostakovich, Andriessen, Davis, Arvo Part & Christian Scott during his time studying Composition at the Australian Institute of Music, Markulic began incorporating his inclination for generative and aleatoric music into works of his own. His first two works, 'Octatonic Duet of the Grounded and Floating Musicians', and 'Artefacts' reveal an intense and characteristic fascination with the role of abstraction in all parts of his music - conception, structure, score, texture, performance & production.

Music Composer for Media Will Angus is a Sydney-based Composer with a passion for orchestral hybrid music. He has been composing music since he was 13 years old and has won several composition awards. Will aspires to become a well-credited composer for screen and has scored the music for multiple short films and one feature film, making him the youngest person to score an entire feature film. Will has worked on composing the music for numerous media projects, some of which are detailed below: Toxic Alien Zombie Babes From Outer Space (2022) Toxic Alien Zombie Babes From Outer Space is a comedic Sci-fi/horror film that pays homage to the great B grade cult classics of the 50’s – 70’s, while covering a number of the strange issues that have come up during this pandemic. For this project Will was the music composer, making him the youngest person to score a complete feature film. Along with the score, he had to compose music for the films trailer and promotional material giving him key experience in composing music for trailers. When A Man Cries (2021) When A Man Cries is a short film tackling ideas around toxic masculinity and depression. The film is an abstract representation of how carrying mental illness can affect a person’s day to day life. For this project Will had to design sounds to fit into the world whilst maintaining a minimalist and lonely feel to the score. He worked closely with director Campbell De La Mare to push his creative dream to new heights. A Driving Passion (2021) A Driving Passion explores the highs and lows of amateur motorsport. This mini- documentary delves into the story of Stig Richards, a lifelong car enthusiast and passionate amateur race driver having a less than perfect weekend.... But passions have to overcome obstacles. This score was largely wall to wall music, utilising different themes for different characters and moments. Will worked closely with the director Joshi Perera in order to make the music fit perfectly with the documentary, allowing it to carry the tonality without overbearing. The timeline for this project was very short, forcing him to learn to write efficiently whilst still outputting a result that the whole creative team was proud of. Other Works: Finding Emma (2022) Boxing Day (2022) The Choice Tree (2022) Flockyard (2022 Inverness (2021) Leaving Town (2021) The Form of Breath (2021) Paradox (2020) Simultaneity (2020) Medusa (2020) All The Fires Do Is Take (2019) Over the past few years, Will has achieved various awards, including: Best Sound Design in the CineArts Film Festival (2017) People's Choice Award in the CineArts Film Festival (2019) Presidents Prize in The Sutherland Shire Youth Music Awards (2019) Chosen for Art Express (2020) Two-Time First Prize in The Sutherland Shire Youth Music Awards (2021 and 2022) Nominated for Sutherland Shire Young Citizen of The Year (2023)
