TITLE: Graphic Designer (Part-time Temporary)

DEPARTMENT: Membership & Marketing

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing and Sr. Graphic Designer

CLASSIFICATION: Part-time Temporary (possibility of temp to hire)

The American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN) represents over 20,000 post-acute care nurses and professionals across 6,000 facilities in the U.S. AAPACN is dedicated to supporting long-term post-acute care (LTPAC) nurses and healthcare professionals by offering education, certification, resources, and collaborative communities.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The purpose of this position is to create impactful design solutions that reflect the association’s brand and support organizational goals. These design solutions will include printed collateral (brochures, mailers, event materials) as well as digital collateral (social media assets, website designs, basic video marketing).

Requirements

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires strong design and project management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a detail-oriented approach to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Decision-making: Responsible decision-making that impacts the business’s revenue and expenses.

Complexity: Requires excellent problem-solving skills and knowledgeable judgment.

Authority: Individual contributor without supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

The individual must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree in graphic design, web design/development, or visual communication preferred, with at least 1 year of professional experience in an ad agency or in-house design department.

Computer Skills:

Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Acrobat) is required. A working knowledge of HTML is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Remote position.
• Flexible work hours within a Monday to Friday workweek, not to exceed 29 hours per week.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.

Base Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
